NABU GLOBAL INC SELECTED AS FIELD GLOBAL CAPSTONE PROJECT PARTNER FOR HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL

NABU: NABU GLOBAL INC SELECTED AS FIELD GLOBAL CAPSTONE PROJECT PARTNER FOR HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL

NABU recently had the opportunity to host a team of students from Harvard Business School in Nairobi, Kenya for one week as part of a required course called the FIELD Global Capstone. NABU was one of 156 FIELD Global Capstone Project Partners spanning 14 cities across 14 countries. Together, these Partners combined to host more than 900 Harvard Business School students in all.

"We are honoured to have partnered with Harvard Business School on this immersive experience," said Clara Masinde, Regional Director, East Africa at NABU. "Having the students engage directly with our work in Kenya gave us a valuable outside perspective on how we reach children and communities on the ground. The insights they brought were thoughtful, grounded, and genuinely useful as we continue to grow our impact across the region."

The FIELD Global Capstone is a course designed to strengthen and develop students' ability to manage and operate effectively in a variety of business contexts. NABU's team had been working with the student group remotely in the months leading up to their arrival in Nairobi. While in Kenya, the students conducted field research on NABU's app experience with local users, pitched their findings and ideas to the NABU leadership team, and presented their final recommendations to management. The purpose of this immersive experience is to provide students with the opportunity to learn by doing through the challenge of introducing a new product, service, or customer experience for their Partner organisation — requiring students to build contextual intelligence and team effectiveness skills while delivering value in an unfamiliar context.

Harvard is quick to acknowledge that this important learning experience would not be possible without the Project Partners.

"We are extremely grateful to NABU and all the FIELD Global Capstone Project Partner organisations for all they do on behalf of our students," said Professor Joe Fuller, Faculty Chair for the FIELD Global Capstone. "The students benefit immeasurably from this experience and we hope the partner organisations do as well."
